The Church
St Matthew's is a very broad church seeking to provide for a wide range of ages and traditions, something that is reflected in our regular programme of worship.
Basically of an open evangelical style, we are committed to mission as a priority including evangelistic events, Alpha and Emmaus, courses training in sharing our faith and house groups for developing our faith. Ministry is shared among all members lay and ordained and we try to identify ways in which the Lord is calling people to different kinds of Christian work.
St George's and St Matthew's Mission Statement outlines our priorities. We are a member of CHURCHES TOGETHER IN SURBITON and have a number of HOUSEGROUPS which meet regularly and there are several OTHER ACTIVITIES which aim to bring the local community together in a friendly environment.
