Mission Statement
The Churches of St Matthew's and St George's, want to celebrate the love of God, which He has proved in giving His Son, Jesus Christ to die for us.
We are committed to work, in our weakness, but in the power of God's Holy Spirit:
i) to make sure that all who live in this parish are aware of the Good News of Jesus and, where people respond, to welcome them and help them in their faith;
ii) to make our services of worship relevant and helpful to all people in our parish, keeping the best of the traditional and the new;
iii) to become more like Jesus;
iv) as a church and as individuals to play an involved Christian role in our local community in its needs and aspirations;
and
v) to support the world-wide mission of the Church;
-all for the glory of Almighty God.
